WorkCase study · 02

I led the SEO and content program that nearly tripled organic search in five months.

The Search Engine is the work behind that number: a faster website you can measure, the Learning Center I built from scratch, and the same answers in three more languages.

01Before

TelcoBridges had deep expertise, but very little of it showed up in search.

TelcoBridges sells deeply technical B2B telecom software, such as session border controllers and media gateways. It’s a niche, competitive corner of search.

In April 2026 the Learning Center was weeks old. By Ahrefs’ count, only 22 keywords ranked in Google’s top three, and the site’s French, Spanish and Portuguese pages drew 50 organic sessions a month between them.

Measurement was its own problem: tracking was scattered and hardcoded, so the numbers needed fixing before anyone could trust them.

02The machine

I built the foundation first, then the engine that kept publishing answers.

Publishing more pages on a slow site you can’t measure only adds guesswork, so the work came in two halves: a foundation that made the site fast and measurable, and an engine that kept publishing answers. The third column shows what search engines did with them.

  1. Foundation

    Fast, measurable, consented

    • Full website audit
    • All tracking moved into Google Tag Manager
    • Hardcoded issues cleaned out
    • Site speed significantly improved
    • Usercentrics consent, with Google Consent Mode
    • Full SEO best-practice audit
    • Front-end redesign, with new learning and tool templates
    • Content-production and site-optimization pipelines, built in Claude Code
  2. Engine

    Answers, in four languages

110Learning Center articles on SBCs, SIP trunking and VoIP security, built from zero, March to August 2026

699translated pages: 233 pages, each in French, Spanish and Portuguese, mostly live in August 2026

    870 of 1,011live pages published since April 1, 2026

Plus comparison, use-case and free-tool pages for people closer to a decision.

  3. Signals

What search engines did with it

Also, April to September: 2.5× as many pages received organic visits (168 → 420), and organic sessions from Bing and DuckDuckGo grew 3.4×.

03The charts

Here’s how the numbers moved, month by month.

I’ve put Google’s own click data first, then the rankings behind it, then where the traffic now lands. The yellow band marks April, when the work began.

Chart 1 · Google Search Console

Google clicks per month, 2026

Clicks stayed near their old level through May, then stepped up in June and held there. Average monthly clicks went from 1,364 in March and April to 2,693 in August and September, twice as many.

Google’s own click data, measured directly, January to late September 2026.

Chart 2 · Ahrefs

Keywords in Google’s top three

The count went from 22 on April 1 to 232 on September 1, ten times as many, and 222 were still there on October 1. It rose at every snapshot in between, so this was a steady climb.

New English articles stopped in July; Learning Center traffic still grew 51% by September. Translated versions launched in August.

04Decisions

These are the decisions that shaped the program, and what each one cost.

There are three decisions, plus one measure that goes beyond clicks, and each comes with a trade-off.

01

Measure before you grow

Decision
Audit the whole site, move every tag into Google Tag Manager, clean out the hardcoded issues, and add Usercentrics consent with Google Consent Mode.
Why
When tracking is scattered and hardcoded, every change is risky and every number is suspect.
Trade-off
Visitors never see this work and it moves no chart on its own, but it’s what makes every chart on this page trustworthy.

02

Build a library of answers

Decision
Put the expertise into a structured Learning Center: 110 articles on session border controllers, SIP trunking and VoIP security, published March to August 2026.
Why
A buyer’s first search is usually a question about their problem, and a library of answers is what meets them there.
Trade-off
It takes a while to pay off: Google clicks stayed near their old level through May, then stepped up in June.

03

Take the answers into three more languages

Decision
Translate 233 reader-facing pages, including most of the Learning Center, into French, Spanish and Portuguese: 699 translated pages, mostly live in August 2026.
Why
An answer that already works in English can compete for the same question again, in other markets.
Trade-off
Only about two months of data so far. Organic sessions on translated pages rose 7.3× from April to September, which is an early signal that needs more months to confirm.

04

AI answers, measured alongside clicks

Measured
Google AI Overview citations, tracked by Ahrefs, and organic sessions from Bing and DuckDuckGo, measured in GA4. Bing also feeds Copilot and ChatGPT search.
Why it matters
More questions now get answered by an AI summary before anyone clicks. Click counts alone can’t show whether the site is the source being quoted.
Result
Google AI Overview citations rose 14× from April 1 to October 13, and organic sessions from Bing and DuckDuckGo rose 3.4× from April to September.
